Secret (2024)
Acrylic on 12x12” Canvas

This painting emerged as I returned to music production after a decade. While collaborating on tracks for DJ sets with my friend 22, I felt inspired to create artwork that demonstrates the bouncy, imaginative nature of the music.

For “Secret,” abstracted figures stretch and lean in, as if sharing secrets. The elongated forms express intimacy and connection, qualities central to both the painting and its accompanying music.

Right Here Right Now (2024)
Acrylic & Pastel
on 36x36” Canvas

The result of my ten day residency in Tokyo, Japan at The A.I.R. Building.

Maybe I subconsciously painted myself spinning records, but I really see this piece more as a tribute to the faceless selector—a celebration of those times the DJ turns a fleeting moment into a cherished memory.

Traveling across the world, connecting with strangers, and communicating through music—especially when verbal language wasn’t an option— was an unforgettable experience, and I am very grateful for the memories and painting that came as a result of my first residency.

The Blue Studio (2024)
Acrylic, Gesso, House Paint, Paint Markers, Tear from Herman Miller Sayl Chair (Repaired with Acid Free Glue and Canvas Patch)
on 36x48” Canvas

In recognizing the significance of space and specifically my workspace, I felt sentimental about my studio and decided it was a necessity to document my time spent here. So I decided to embrace the self portrait equally as a time capsule of the room.
